Buyout 2.00.0058

January 17, 2021

Database Compatibility

The Buyout database in this version is not compatible with the previous release (2.0.48). You must use Buyout Database Manager to upgrade your Buyout database(s) after applying this update.

Enhancements

  • Applied Stored Pricing – When stored pricing is applied to line items of a quote, those items are now flagged to indicate that stored pricing was used. This will appear on the screen as a small square in the lower-right corner of the Unit Price cell. In addition, when details are displayed, a line item with the caption “From Stored Price” will indicate “True” if the price came from stored pricing. This will allow the user to quickly see which pricing was entered versus pricing that was taken from stored pricing. Note that this flag is only set beginning with this version. The flag is not set for items where stored pricing was applied using an older version.
  • Scope of Work on Commit Tab – The Scope of Work text for the Quote Group can now be edited while on the Commit tab. To edit the Scope of Work, click Show Detail (to the right of the list of quotes) and click the Scope of Work tab at the bottom of the details panel. Text can be edited directly in this area. In addition, clicking the Edit button will display the Edit Quote Group window which provides more formatting options.
  • Item-Level Order Notes – The Order Notes for individual items can now be edited while on the Commit tab. To edit the Order Notes, click Show Details (to the right of the list of items) and click the Order Notes tab at the bottom of the details panel. Text can be edited directly in this area.
  • Items by Location – A new option has been added to the list of available sort orders for commitment items. Items can now be listed by Location and Description. This setting can be found under File / Buyout Options.
  • Additional One-Time-Item Fields – Additional fields have been added to the One-Time Item window. In previous versions, these values would need to be edited by adding their respective columns to a view on the Group Items tab and then editing them after the fact in the grid. Now these values can be specified at the time a one-time item is being added-
    • Job Cost Job
    • Job Cost Extra
    • Job Cost Code
    • Job Cost Category
    • Tax Group
  • Commitment Item Scope of Work – The Order Notes associated with each item is now used to populate the Commitment Item – Scope of Work field in Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate
  • Overridden Values – When using the Quote Item detail grid, the “Description”, “Unit Of Measure”, and “Units” columns populate from the estimate. These column values can be overridden on a given quote. Now, when one of these values has been overridden, an indicator appears in the lower-right corner of the cell indicating that the value has been changed. When the cursor hovers over an overridden cell value, a tool-tip now appears to indicate that the value has been overridden. To restore a value to the value originally imported from the estimate, right click and select Undo Overridden Value.
  • Performance – General improvements have been made that will improve time to load and save data.
  • Logging – More detailed logging has been added in order to audit user actions such as opening and closing windows and responding to popup messages.
  • Report a Problem – This feature has been enhanced so that if there is a failure to submit the report, the user will be presented an option to send the report using their local email client.

Resolved Issues

  • Resolved issued with storing and applying pricing where Phase Codes and Item Codes contained leading or trailing spaces or had inconsistent case. In addition, the logic for inserting stored pricing has been improved in order to automatically handle the resolution of overlapping date ranges.
  • Resolved issue where renaming a Buyout Package within the Manage Buyout Packages window, but not actually changing the name, would result in an error.
  • Resolved an issue where in previous versions if an item was deleted from an estimate in Sage Estimating, and the estimate was re-imported into Buyout, the deleted item was not removed from Buyout. This has been corrected. Note that if the deleted item is associated with a Quote Group that has already been committed, then the item is not removed from Buyout and a message will be displayed identifying why the item could not be removed. If the deleted item is associated with a Quote Group that has a selected Quote, the Quote will be unselected.
  • Resolved issue where item descriptions from Sage Estimating that contained more than 100 characters would be truncated at 100 characters. This field has now been expanded in Buyout to match the field size of 260 characters in Sage Estimating.
  • Resolved issue where rounding settings for a given item would be ignored when entering a quoted price for the item for the first time.
  • Resolved issue where re-importing an estimate having items that have already been committed would result in an error
  • Resolved issue when entering stored pricing with a filter applied.
  • Resolved issue where the program could crash when the program automatically refreshes its license every ten minutes and the license server cannot be reached.
