Buyout 2.00.0048

November 7, 2020

Database Compatibility

The Buyout database in this version is compatible with the previous release (2.0.47).

Enhancements

  • Import Vendor Pricing – It is now possible to import vendor pricing from an Excel workbook returned from a vendor. The workbook must be the one created by Buyout when sending a request for quote via email and electing the option to attach an Excel workbook. When a vendor has entered their pricing in the workbook and has returned it, there are multiple ways to import the pricing into Buyout. All methods begin with clicking the Import Pricing button on the toolbar. This displays an Import Pricing window that allows multiple Excel workbooks to be collected for import. To add an Excel workbook to the list, use one of the following options –
    • Click Add Files and select one or more Excel files.
    • With the email open in Microsoft Outlook, drag the attached Excel workbook directly from the email and drop it onto this window.
    • With the email open in Microsoft Outlook, copy the attached Excel workbook, then select this window and press Control+V to paste it.
    • Open Windows File Explorer, navigate to the folder where the workbook is located (or workbooks), and then drag and drop the file(s) onto this window.
    • Open Windows File Explorer, navigate to the folder where the workbook is located (or workbooks), and then copy the file(s), and paste them onto this window using Control+V.

Once all files to be imported have been specified, click Import Pricing. As each file is imported, the quote will be updated to reflect the date pricing was received.

  • Rich Formatting for Quote Group Scope of Work – When creating or editing a Quote Group, the Scope of Work field now includes a toolbar for applying formatting such as font name, font size, bold, italic, underline, and color. When printing a purchase order or subcontract, this formatting will appear on the document.

  • Resolved Issues

    • Resolved an issue where it was not possible to type a hard-return as part of the Quote Group Scope of Work text.
    • Resolved an issue that made it possible to have two records in the stored pricing list having the same phase code, item code, unit of measure, and date range.
    • Resolved an issue where the pricing editor window could be displayed multiple times in different tabs. Now, there can be only one instance of the pricing editor window.
