Buyout 2.00.0044

October 8, 2020

Database Compatibility

The Buyout database in this version is not compatible with the prior version. After installing this version, you must run Buyout Database Manager to upgrade your Buyout database(s).

Enhancements

  • When creating commitments, because this task can take several minutes, the cursor now changes to a wait-cursor. A progress meter is planned for a future release.
  • On the Commit step, the list of quotes to be committed is now sortable by clicking column headings.
  • When creating multiple commitments, the order in which the commitments are created is now controlled by a new setting under File / Buyout Options. On the Quotes Settings tab, the user may choose from one of the following options in the Commitment Order drop-down –
    • Vendor Name, Quote Group
    • Vendor ID, Quote Group
    • Quote Group
    • Job, Extra, Cost Code, Category, Quote Group

Note – When sorting in Job Cost order, only the values from the first item of the quote are used.

  • Beginning with this version, when importing an estimate, items that are included (i.e., with no unit price or amount) in a Bid Grid worksheet for a vendor that has been selected will be imported.
  • The Bid Grid name (i.e., Bid Group Name) is now available for use on the Group Items step and can be used for sorting, grouping, or included as a column.

Resolved Issues

  • In the prior version, Crystal Reports was introduced as the means by which Buyout produces the commitment documents (purchase orders and subcontracts). The report design included two flaws that have been corrected –
    • The formula for the grand total did not include the sales tax amount. This has been corrected.
    • Lengthy descriptions did not word-wrap and instead would be truncated or flow into the columns to the right. This has been corrected.
  • In the prior version, changes made to the Buyout Package description in the Buyout Package window were not saved. This has been corrected.
  • In the prior version, when assigning an accounting/operations vendor to a quote on the Commit step, the address information displayed for the accounting/operations vendor was incorrect. This has been corrected.
